There are several tests that we will perform during the home energy audit to determine the rebates you qualify for and help develop strategies to effectively lessen your home’s energy consumption. The tests conducted on the initial home audit include infrared testing, air leak tests and door blower tests to determine your home’s current energy efficiency and which areas of the home need improvement. The improvement in your home’s energy efficiency ratings will be determined by a follow up audit after home upgrades are completed.

The Canadian government has a project called the Greener Home program that helps homeowners make energy efficient retrofits to their homes, making it more efficient, comfortable and affordable to maintain year-round. This program allows homeowners to help Canada make the transition to a future with cleaner energy with fewer greenhouse gas emissions. The Greener Home program offers rebates for several upgrades including a furnace or boiler replacement, air sealing improvements, insulation upgrades, and replacements for a door, window, and/or skylight, among others. The program’s ultimate goal is to make London residents live a life that is not only attainable and affordable, but more environmentally-friendly.
